WHAT IS COVERED BY THE KOHAM WARRANTY?

THE KOHAM PRUNER

Koham pruners are manufactured using the highest standards of engineering and production.  Each pruner is hand-assembled under stringent Quality Control standards. Our products have been sold and tested around the world in a variety of environments and industries.   In the rare instance that a unit fails to perform adequately, we warrant our pruners against defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

The warranty does not cover abuse or misuse. Specifically the warranty does not cover:

Damages to the blades or motor resulting from cutting or attempting to cut through metal, stone, composite or any material the pruner is not designed to cut.
Damages resulting from Immersion in water or any liquid.
Damages resulting from dropping the unit onto a hard surface.
Damages resulting from prolonged exposure to extreme environmental conditions.
Damages that are the result of any actions that would be considered an obvious misuse.
If your Koham Pruner fails, contact us for a return authorization. Return the pruner to us, and we will contact you within 48 hours after receipt to outline repairs needed, and any costs that may apply. Return shipping will be paid by Koham America.
 

WHAT IF MY PRUNER FAILS DURING MY PEAK PRUNING PERIOD?

If your Koham Pruner fails during your peak pruning period, contact us at 307*337*2810. We can arrange to have a loaner shipped within 1-2 business day. We will work with you to get you back to work as rapidly as possible.

THE KOHAM BATTERY

The battery should be inspected upon receipt by the customer. If damaged, please contact us immediately to arrange for replacement. Lithium Ion batteries, used with most electric pruners, are rated as potentially hazardous materials. A damaged Lithium Ion battery cannot be returned through most shipping methods. DO NOT SHIP A DAMAGED BATTERY UNTIL SPEAKING WITH A KOHAM REPRESENTATIVE.

The Lithium Ion Battery used to power the Koham Pruner is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 15 months from the date of purchase.

The warranty does not cover abuse or misuse. Specifically the warranty does not cover:

Damages resulting from Immersion in water or any liquid.

Damages resulting from dropping the unit onto a hard surface.

Damages resulting from prolonged exposure to extreme environmental conditions.

Damages that are the result of any actions that would be considered an obvious misuse.

NOTE: As outlined in the User’s Manual, a Lithium Ion Battery must be recharged periodically. Even if charged prior to off-season storage, a battery will slowly discharge. The battery should be recharged every two months. A fully discharged battery can fail to recharge. This is a user defect, not a manufacturing defect, and is not covered by the warranty.
